Census Images for Descendants of Thomas McClurken (1756 - 1845)

I had collected over 140 images of census pages for descendants (and their spouses) of Thomas McClurken. I needed to organize them for my own understanding. Therefore, I uploaded the balance to my website and indexed them to an outline descendant report of Thomas. While I was at it, I linked it all together in my FamilyTreeMaker file. The census index page is available at this link.
I had about 81 census image pages for descendants of Mathew (brother of Thomas) and these were added to the existing reference page for Mathew. I hope these links help someone.

Houses of William & Edna Kemps

I recently obtained seven pictures of the Beverly Hills house of William & Edna Kemps. Google allowed me to determine the address to be 633 N. Foothill Road. I decided to create a slideshow of the pictures and while I was at it, I also made slideshows for two of their other houses. The slideshows are linked into the biographies of William Henry Kemps and Edna Hammond Wright Kemps. The direct links to the slideshows are: 633 N. Foothill Road Beverly Hills, CA; 1565 Hillcrest Avenue Glendale, CA; and 5305 Harter Lane La Canada, CA.

Indiana State Library Newspaper Database

The Indiana State Library has an on-line Indianapolis Newspaper Database for the years 1848 - 1888. It was created in the late 1930s by W.P.A. workers. The four papers that were indexed are the Indianapolis Herald, Journal, News, and Sentinel. Most articles are only a single page and a copy of 10 single page articles is only $2.50.

I obtained the 1885 death notice article for Mrs. Amanda McClurkin.

I also obtained seven Hammond - Howland - Moody - Wright articles, as follows:

Marriage of Charles W. Moody to Julia S. Hammond in 1870.

Death of Charley Hammond Moody in 1872.

Death of Julia Hammond Moody in 1873.

Marriage of Charles B. Howland and Mary Wright in 1881.

Death of Mrs. Mahala Howland in 1884.

Death of Mrs. Helen Hammond Wright in 1885.

Divorce of Martha F. Hammond and Rezin Hammond in 1885.

The linked file names include the name and date of the newspaper.
