Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana

The website for Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana was very helpful in researching the Wright and Hammond biographies of the previous post. It includes an on-line Burial Locator. Crown Hill Cemetery has been in existence since 1864. Additionally, they have on-staff genealogists. For $5.00, they will provide whatever information that they have on an individual and a map and listing of others buried in the same lot. For Worth Wright, this included a burial permit, the equivalent of a death certificate. For $10.00, except in the winter, they will provide a color digital photo of a headstone or monument. Additional pictures on the same lot are only $2.00 each. I found Crown Hill Cemetery to be a very useful and inexpensive resource!

Albert J Miller (1864 - 1924)

Albert provided the finacial support for his mother and three step siblings from 1882 through 1893. He can be identified in 30 of the St. Louis City Directories from 1881 through 1923. Along with various census entries and his Death Certificate, I was able to create a biography for Albert. See biography.

Emily M Miller Brown Fekete (1863 - 1940)

The 1921 and 1923 St. Louis City Directories, found on Footnote.com, were key to locating many of the details of Emily's life. They identified her as the widow of Walter P Brown. This allowed me to find her in the 1900 Census along with her children. Additional details of her life also became apparent and this allowed me to create her biography. See biography.
