Frequently, they are things that I already have or actually contributed on Find A Grave. Others are gems. Recently, I got a hint for a death certificate for John Rodman McClurken (1835 - 1914). I added it to my website and corrected his birth year. And FamilySearch is FREE!
rwkempshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11870663252886983201noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2433999658384607508.post-22425665552404705832016-03-30T19:01:00.001-05:002016-03-30T19:01:26.703-05:00Website MovedComcast stopped providing websites in November of 2015. The new location went live in February of 2016. It is essentially unchanged, just relocated. I actually started to move it in August but ran into issues with alternate hosting sites. I needed one that allowed lots of files, search engine spidering and FTP file transferring. X10hosting provided all of my needs. Actually, I am better off after the move because I was able to consolidate the Byethost portion into the same X10hosting site. I am considering converting from free to a paid site with X10hosting and am waiting for them to reoffer an in between product. Hopefully soon.rwkempshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11870663252886983201noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2433999658384607508.post-57167714140853892012013-10-09T17:42:00.000-05:002016-02-24T17:43:16.384-06:00Narratives of Randolph County - KirkpatrickI recently acquired the 27 page Kirkpatrick section of the Narratives of Randolph County. Woods ObituaryThe obituary of Robert R. Woods (1826 - 1885) was obtained through
the PERSI service.
It was published in the periodical "County Lines," January 2004, Volume 18, Issue
1. The obituary is available at this link.rwkempshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11870663252886983201noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2433999658384607508.post-55809884345184243842012-05-02T09:58:00.001-05:002016-02-25T13:29:26.991-06:00Census Images for Descendants of Thomas McClurken (1756 - 1845)I had collected over 140 images of census pages for descendants (and their spouses) of Thomas McClurken. I needed to organize them for my own understanding. Therefore, I uploaded the balance to my website and indexed them to an outline descendant report of Thomas. While I was at it, I linked it all together in my FamilyTreeMaker file. The census index page is available at this link.
I had about 81 census image pages for descendants of Mathew (brother of Thomas) and these were added to the existing reference page for Mathew. I hope these links help someone.rwkempshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11870663252886983201noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2433999658384607508.post-32988463696999694232012-03-18T22:09:00.002-05:002016-02-25T13:41:27.985-06:00Houses of William & Edna KempsI recently obtained seven pictures of the Beverly Hills house of William & Edna Kemps. Google allowed me to determine the address to be 633 N. Foothill Road. I decided to create a slideshow of the pictures and while I was at it, I also made slideshows for two of their other houses. The slideshows are linked into the biographies of William Henry Kemps and Edna Hammond Wright Kemps. The direct links to the slideshows are: 633 N. It was created in the late 1930s by W.P.A. workers. The four papers that were indexed are the Indianapolis Herald, Journal, News, and Sentinel.
