Ancestor Tree Update

 I still use an obsolete program (GEDHTREE) that converts my GEDCOM file to the Ancestor Tree portion of my website. I've invested a lot of time into the photo pages and it works, so why not continue to use it. Since I had not updated it since May 30th of 2017, it was time. I added 69 individuals (new total 1108) and 36 photo pages (new total 123) with about 70 new photos. I also fixed some broken photo page links. The update includes the additional sources and notes that I have accumulated since 2017. Lots of work, but worth it.

Broken Links Fixed

 I was asked for permission to refer to one of my pages. I agreed but realized that it had many broken links. So, I fixed them. Then I decided that I needed to fix all of the ones throughout the website. Some of the webpages/sites no longer exist, so those links were turned into text with an explanation. I guess that I ought to do this more often, since nobody lets me know.🤔🥲

FamilySearch Ancestor Hints

 I enjoy receiving the ancestor hints from FamilySearch. Frequently, they are things that I already have or actually contributed on Find A Grave. Others are gems. Recently, I got a hint for a death certificate for John Rodman McClurken (1835 - 1914). I added it to my website and corrected his birth year. And FamilySearch is FREE!

Website Moved

Comcast stopped providing websites in November of 2015. The new location went live in February of 2016. It is essentially unchanged, just relocated. I actually started to move it in August but ran into issues with alternate hosting sites. I needed one that allowed lots of files, search engine spidering and FTP file transferring. X10hosting provided all of my needs. Actually, I am better off after the move because I was able to consolidate the Byethost portion into the same X10hosting site. I am considering converting from free to a paid site with X10hosting and am waiting for them to reoffer an in between product. Hopefully soon.

An updated family tree, with a total of 1024 individuals, is now available in three locations. It is available, by subscription, on Ancestry.com and identified as Samuel Henry Kemps.
